Hinson Gravelle & Adair LLP attorney Eric Adair will speak on hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking,” at the State Bar of California’s Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite ® on October 19, 2014. The conference, which opens on October 16 and continues through October 19, is nationally recognized as the largest and most prestigious gathering in California of leaders in environmental, land use, and natural resources law.
Mr. Adair will participate in a panel discussion on “Recent Developments in the Regulation of Fracking at the Local, State and Federal Levels.” The panel will address recent developments in the SB 4 fracking regulations with a particular focus on how local governments are approaching fracking in their jurisdictions in light of the new regulations. The panel will also include Eric Biber, Professor, Berkeley Law, University of California (moderator), Heather Minner, Shute Mihaly & Weinberger, Lorelei Oviatt, Director, Kern County Planning and Community Development Department, and Kassie Siegel, Senior Counsel, Center for Biological Diversity.

On a lighter note, Mr. Adair will also co-lead the annual mountain bike adventure at the conference, a 22-mile ride from the host hotel – the Tenaya Lodge – to the top of Fresno Dome.
