The Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section will host its 13th annual Fall Symposium on Friday, November 7, 2014, from 11:30am to 4:30pm, at the Hotel InterContinental in Century City.
The Fall Symposium, titled “Water, Air, and Earth – Protecting and Conserving Southern California’s Vital Natural Resources,” will focus on the natural resources that are most vital to Southern California – water, air, and earth. A select group of speakers will provide up-to-the-minute insights into the status of Southern California’s reliance on groundwater and the state’s efforts to regulate its use, the latest developments on AB 32 and California’s leadership role on climate change, and the current status of California’s Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund, including the potential impact of the low threat closure rule.
The Fall Symposium will feature Nancy Sutley as the keynote speaker. Ms. Sutley is the Chief Sustainability and Economic Development Officer of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the immediate past chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
Hinson Gravelle & Adair LLP attorney Eric Adair serves as Chair of this year’s Fall Symposium Committee and is a member of the Environmental Law Section’s Executive Committee.
More information on the Symposium, including registration details, may be found on the Symposium website.
